The Stage 3 vapor recovery unit, also known as tertiary VRU, is designed for gasoline vapor emission control of underground storage tanks at filling stations. During fuel delivery to storage tanks, large amounts of hydrocarbon vapor are displaced and released. Without proper collection and treatment, the volatile gas will cause fuel loss, air pollution and potential fire hazards. Conventional simple absorption or single condensation equipment often suffers from low recovery efficiency, unstable operation and high maintenance cost, failing to meet increasingly strict environmental and safety standards.
This tertiary vapor recovery system adopts integrated physical recovery process. The oil-gas mixture discharged from tank breathing pipelines is collected through closed pipelines and sent into the pretreatment section to remove liquid droplets and impurities, protecting core components from contamination. The mixed vapor goes through compression, condensation and separation steps sequentially. Most gasoline vapor is condensed into liquid fuel and recovered back to the storage tank. The remaining low-concentration vapor enters the fine separation module for further treatment, ensuring exhaust gas meets emission requirements.
The whole unit is built in skid-mounted structure. All components are pre-assembled, pressure-tested and fully debugged in factory. On-site installation only requires connection of vapor pipelines, power and auxiliary utilities, greatly cutting construction time and site work.
