Three-Stage Vapor Recovery Unit — WHSH-M (Air-Cooled + Membrane)
Designed for petrol stations, oil depots and terminals: recovers gasoline vapor with membrane separation, keeps emissions far below national limits, and runs unattended with cloud-based monitoring.
Gasoline vapor from station tanks is one of the major sources of VOCs emissions, which is why a complete vapor recovery system is required. Vohon is an integrated manufacturer covering research, development and production, with extensive experience in membrane separation and special materials, serving the petroleum, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
A complete recovery system covers four stages:
Stage 1
Vapor recovery during fuel unloading.
Stage 2
Vapor recovery during refueling (air-to-liquid ratio 1:1 to 1.2:1).
Stage 3
Tertiary recovery — on-site treatment of tank vapors to avoid any discharge.
Controls
Pressure/vacuum valve setting: +2 kPa to 3 kPa / -1.5 kPa to -2 kPa.
| Process | Limitations |
|---|---|
| Condensation | High power consumption, slow effect and long replacement time, wastewater, average stability and higher maintenance cost. |
| Adsorption | Requires desorption and dilution, long cycle at high temperature, regular/irregular activated carbon replacement, partial gas escape. |
| Absorption | Absorbent has limited selectivity; affected by local air composition and seasonal temperature changes. |
| Membrane Separation (Vohon) | Effectively separates vapor from air, long service life, low failure rate, stable operation — the most effective treatment option today. |
Near-Zero Emissions
Discharge concentration far below national and local environmental limits.
Green & Clean
No solid or liquid waste, no secondary pollution; energy consumption below 0.2 kWh per m³ of gas; noise far below national limits.
High Efficiency
Treatment capacity up to 20 m³/h, quickly lowering tank pressure; vapor recovery efficiency above 99%.
High Value Recovery
Vapor is converted into high-quality liquid oil that returns to the tank and can be sold again.
Easy Installation & Maintenance
Compact and lightweight, installable in confined spaces such as fuel islands or under canopies; on-site installation about 1 day, no consumables required.
Long Service Life
Design life 8–10 years; membrane modules last 10+ years; low failure rate of major components.
Cloud-Based Smart Management
Monitor and manage from a computer or mobile phone anytime, anywhere.
Secure Direct Data Transfer
Data can be transmitted directly over the intranet to oil company or environmental monitoring platforms — no leakage or tampering risk.
Power supply: AC 380V | Process: membrane separation (air-cooled + membrane) | Operation: unattended, fully automatic — stops to standby when tank pressure drops below 50 Pa, restarts automatically when pressure rises again.
Three standard models are available to match the station's daily gasoline sales volume:
Installed at the storage tank breather valve, the unit starts automatically during fuel unloading or when internal pressure exceeds the preset threshold, and runs through four stages:
Compression
A compressor pressurizes and liquefies the vapors.
Cooling & Separation
An air-cooled heat exchanger cools the mixture; the condensed liquid is separated and returned to the storage tank.
Membrane Separation
Residual gas enters the membrane module: fuel molecules adhere to the membrane and, driven by vacuum pump negative pressure, permeate to the central collection pipe and return to the tank; clean air is vented to the atmosphere.
Auto Start / Stop
Stops to standby when tank pressure drops below the preset level; restarts automatically when pressure rises.
High-strength cold-rolled steel enclosure with electrostatic spray finish — corrosion-resistant, oxidation-resistant and suitable for outdoor use. High-quality fully enclosed components; built-in explosion-proof electrical cabinet; supplied with exhaust pipe, flame arrester and emission monitoring port. Automatic pressure control keeps the underground tank at atmospheric pressure. PLC + industrial control computer with a user-friendly HMI.
Explosion-proof design for hazardous-area useIngress protection rating: IP55Unattended automatic operationNo consumables
Industrial Touchscreen
12.1-inch LED capacitive touchscreen (1024×768) running Windows 10; industrial-grade mainboard with stable, easy-to-use software.
Full Monitoring Display
Real-time tank pressure, running time, alarm status, emission concentration and treatment volume; storage of millions of records with power-loss protection.
Remote & Data Interfaces
Gigabit Ethernet, RS232/RS485, WiFi & 4G; optional direct upload of environmental data to monitoring platforms; mobile APP / web remote monitoring and efficiency analysis.
